Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza has become the No. 1 ranked all-rounder in the ICC Men's ODI Rankings for the first time in his career. This follows his outstanding performance in the two-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in Harare.
Raza delivered two superb half-centuries—scoring 92 in the first match and an unbeaten 59 in the second—while also picking up one wicket (1 for 48 from 10 overs) in the opener.
His efforts propelled him to 302 rating points, surpassing Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai (296) and Mohammad Nabi (292), who now rank second and third respectively.
With this new ranking, Raza also climbed nine places to 22nd in the ODI batting rankings and moved one spot to 38th in bowling.
Raza's elevation to No. 1 is historic—not only because it's the first time a Zimbabwean all-rounder has achieved this feat, but also because he did so at age 39, underlining his remarkable late-career form.
Despite Zimbabwe losing the series 0-2, Raza's consistency with bat and ball made his rise impossible to ignore.
