With 'Shameful' Rohit Sharma Video, Pakistan T20 Franchise Triggers Row

Just days after former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg faced backlash for mocking Pakistani captain Mohammad Rizwan's English, another controversy erupted involving the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The PSL franchise Multan Sultans released a video featuring their mascot using a voiceover from Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s press conference after winning the ICC Champions Trophy. This video was met with significant criticism, with many fans labeling it as "inappropriate."

In the clip, the mascot introduces the PSL 2025 trophy while echoing Rohit’s remarks from the Champions Trophy. Indian cricket fans expressed their discontent, suggesting that using Rohit’s audio was disrespectful. One fan remarked that while Hogg's actions were inappropriate, Multan Sultans further tarnished their reputation with this video.

The PSL Season 10 is set to commence on April 11, featuring six teams and a total of 34 matches until May 18. Notably, an exhibition match will take place on April 8 in Peshawar. The tournament will include matches at various venues, including Rawalpindi and Lahore, with the final scheduled for May 18 at Gaddafi Stadium.
