Virat Kohli once again showcased his mastery in chasing as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) secured a commanding nine-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025 at the SawaiMansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Kohli’s unbeaten 62 off 45 balls anchored RCB’s chase of 174, marking his 100th T20 fifty, a milestone that makes him the first Indian and second cricketer overall to achieve the feat, after David Warner.
Batting first, RR managed 173/4 in 20 overs, led by YashasviJaiswal’s brilliant 75 off 47 balls. However, RCB’s chase was clinical, with Phil Salt smashing 65 off 33 balls to set the tone. Kohli accelerated after a cautious start, slamming WaninduHasaranga for a six and a four to reach his fifty off 39 balls. He partnered with DevduttPadikkal (40 not out) to steer RCB home in just 17.3 overs, finishing at 175/1.
Following the match, a lighthearted moment unfolded as teammate Tim David pranked Kohli by hiding one of his bats. In a video shared by RCB, Kohli humorously confronted his teammates after discovering the missing bat in David’s kitbag.
