To Revive Career,Prithvi Shaw Sent Clear-Cut Message

Prithvi Shaw, once heralded as Indian cricket’s next big thing and compared to legends like Sachin Tendulkar, has seen his career nosedive. At 25, Shaw has gone unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction despite a modest base price of ₹75 lakh. He has also been excluded from Mumbai’s Vijay Hazare and Ranji Trophy squads, marking a low point in his career. Shaw’s struggles stem from fitness issues, inconsistent performances, and off-field controversies, including disciplinary concerns and missed training sessions.

Punjab Kings’ star Shashank Singh, who played with Shaw in Mumbai, recently discussed Shaw’s potential on the *Shubhankar Mishra Podcast*. Shashank believes Shaw is “underrated” and capable of greatness if he revisits his basics and makes lifestyle changes, such as improving his diet and sleep schedule. However, Shashank acknowledged that Shaw likely has better advisors around him.

Meanwhile, Shashank Singh’s career is on the rise after a stellar IPL 2025 season with Punjab Kings, where he scored 354 runs at a strike rate of nearly 165. Retained for ₹5.5 crore, Shashank will play under ShreyasIyer as PBKS aims for its first title. In contrast, Shaw’s journey highlights the challenges of sustaining early promise without discipline and focus.
