In Match 65 of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outclassed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) with a 42-run win at the Ekana Cricket Stadium.
Batting first, SRH posted a mammoth total of 231/6, driven by Ishan Kishan’s unbeaten 94 off 48 balls. The RCB bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught, with key contributions from SRH’s middle order supporting Kishan’s innings.
In reply, RCB managed 189 in 19.5 overs, with Phil Salt scoring 62 and Virat Kohli adding 43. Despite a promising start, the team faltered against SRH's disciplined bowling.
In a surprise change, Jitesh Sharma captained RCB in place of Rajat Patidar, who missed out due to a finger injury. Mayank Agarwal also returned to the XI, replacing the injured Devdutt Padikkal.
Despite the loss, RCB still have playoff hopes alive, needing a win in their final league match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 27.
