Rohit Sharma reflected on the Transition to a new Era under Head Coach Gautam Gambhir

India’s cricket captain Rohit Sharma recently reflected on the transition to a new era under head coach Gautam Gambhir, emphasizing the need to adapt and move forward. Following a remarkable Test series against Bangladesh, where India showcased an aggressive batting approach, Sharma stated, “In life, we all keep moving on,” acknowledging the shift from former coach Rahul Dravid to Gambhir. He highlighted that while he enjoyed his time with Dravid, the team must embrace change and capitalize on mindset as they aim for future successes.

During the second Test in Kanpur, India executed a record-breaking performance, scoring 285 runs in just 34.4 overs, driven by a strategy of rapid scoring despite losing two days to rain. Sharma noted that the team was prepared for aggressive play, even if it meant risking quick dismissal. Bowling coach MorneMorkel praised the players for their commitment to this fast-paced style, which he termed ”Bazball Pro Max,” reflecting a collective buy-in from the team.
