Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) delivered a dominant performance to defeat Rajasthan Royals (RR) by nine wickets in their IPL 2025 clash at the SawaiMansingh Stadium, Jaipur. Batting first, RR posted 173/4 in 20 overs, led by YashasviJaiswal’s brilliant 75 off 47 balls, which kept the Royals afloat despite early struggles. However, RCB’s chase was clinical and emphatic.
RCB got off to a flying start as Phil Salt smashed a scintillating 65 off 33 balls, setting the tone for the chase. After Salt’s dismissal, ViratKohli and DevduttPadikkal steadied the innings, steering RCB to victory with ease. Kohli remained unbeaten with a composed half-century, while Padikkal provided solid support at the other end. RCB reached the target in just 17.3 overs, finishing at 175/1, showcasing their batting depth and consistency.
The win propelled RCB to third place on the IPL 2025 points table with three wins from five matches. RR, meanwhile, continue to struggle for consistency, with only two wins in six games this season. RCB’s dominant away form remains intact as they gear up for their next match against Punjab Kings on April 18.
