Priyansh Arya Smashes Second-Fastest IPL Century, Narrowly Misses Yusuf Pathan’s Record

Punjab Kings’ explosive opener Priyansh Arya etched his name in IPL history by becoming the second-fastest Indian to score a century during the IPL 2025 match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Mullanpur Stadium on April 8. Arya reached his century in just 38 balls, narrowly missing Yusuf Pathan’s record of a 37-ball hundred set in 2010. His innings was a display of sheer dominance, featuring relentless boundaries and sixes that left CSK bowlers struggling.

Arya’s remarkable knock powered Punjab Kings to a massive total of 238/3 in their 20 overs. His aggressive batting style has been a hallmark of his game, and this innings further solidified his reputation as one of the brightest young talents in Indian cricket. Arya’s performance follows his earlier achievement of scoring the joint-fastest fifty (19 balls) in IPL 2025, showcasing his consistency and ability to deliver under pressure.
