Mumbai Indians pick Corbin Bosch as replacement for Lizaad Williams

Mumbai Indians have announced that South African fast bowler Lizaad Williams will miss the upcoming TATA IPL 2025 due to an injury. As a result, the team has signed Corbin Bosch, another South African player, as his replacement. Bosch is a 30-year-old bowling all-rounder who has represented South Africa in one Test and two ODIs, along with playing 86 T20 matches.

Bosch made his international debut in December and was included in the Proteas’ squad for the Champions Trophy as a replacement for the injured Anrich Nortje. Although he has yet to make his IPL debut, Bosch has previously been associated with the Rajasthan Royals as a net bowler and was briefly signed by them in 2022 as a replacement for Nathan Coulter-Nile.

Bosch’s recent performances include an impressive stint with MI Cape Town in the SA20 league, where he took 11 wickets in eight games. His addition to the Mumbai Indians squad adds depth to their bowling lineup ahead of IPL 2025. With his versatility as a bowling all-rounder, Bosch is expected to contribute significantly to the team’s campaign.
