The meeting is expected to last an hour, followed by sponsor activities at the Taj Hotel and a captains’ photoshoot. Notably, unlike previous years, the photoshoot will not take place in the season opener city, indicating potential major announcements.
The confirmed captains for IPL 2025 are Axar Patel (DC), Hardik Pandya (MI), Pat Cummins (SRH), RuturajGaikwad (CSK), RajatPatidar (RCB), Rishabh Pant (LSG), ShreyasIyer (PBKS), Sanju Samson (RR), AjinkyaRahane (KKR), and Shubman Gill (GT). Axar Patel and RajatPatidar are new entrants to this list.
The IPL season begins on March 22, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Most players have already joined their teams, and Pat Cummins has confirmed his availability despite concerns over the WTC final in June.
