In the PBKS vs. DC clash, Ishant Sharma walks off injured after twisting his ankle

The IPL 2024 is underway, and he has his first injury of the season. Veteran Delhi Capitals bowler Ishant Sharma has hobbled off the field. Now this is bad news for DC. The team, which is a bit exhausted in their pace attack, has lost their ace pacer.

Ishant Sharma twisted his ankle while bowling and was subsequently walked off. Mitchell Marsh had to come and bowl the remaining three deliveries of the over.

While bowling his second over, Ishant twisted his right ankle after bowling to Prabhsimran Singh. The lanky pacer was unable to continue his bowling, and the physio was brought into the field for treatment. But Ishant looked in huge pain and, as a result, had to walk away from the ground.

Pravin Dubey came onto the field as a substitute fielder in place of the injured Ishant. It remains to be seen what the extent of Ishant’s injury is.

But Ishant did showcase his brilliance by taking a brilliant wicket. He began his spell on a bad note. He bowled consecutive wides, unable to adjust to his line and length. But then he recovered well and, with a good delivery, scalped a dangerous Shikhar Dhawan.
