From 5th T20I vs New Zealand, Pakistan drop under-performing spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi

In the fourth T20I at Mount Maunganui, Afridi had a particularly disappointing outing, conceding 49 runs in just four overs. His recent form has been concerning, as he also struggled during the Champions Trophy 2025, taking only two wickets in two matches and giving away 142 runs in 108 deliveries.
The hosts have dominated the series, winning the first two matches convincingly before Pakistan managed a comeback in the third T20I. However, they faltered again in the fourth match.
