Eminent cricket commentator HarshaBhogle has had his say on the matter. He has claimed that, apart from Rohit Sharma, players like SKY or JaspritBumrah are unhappy about not being the captain of the team.
HarshaBhogle said on his YouTube channel, “All I will say to all the actors in this drama is: do not see what’s being said on social media. I tell that to every young player. But it’s not easy to do that. I have learned to do it, but I am much older and have learned it after a lot of experience. That is from the fans’ point of view because the fans are the heart and soul of our game, and you got to look after them.”
HarshaBhogle has claimed that players like Suryakumar Yadav and JaspritBumrah are likely to be unhappy with the scenario. After Rohit, both SKY and Bumrah are the most senior players in the team. SKY has captained Mumbai before, while Bumrah is the vice captain of the Indian team. The ace speedster has also captained India in Tests before.
