Due to an urgent family medical emergency during IPL 2023, KKR's Litton Das returns to Bangladesh

Litton Das, a batter with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has taken a flight back to Bangladesh owing to an urgent family medical issue. It's doubtful that the wicketkeeper-batter will play any further of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. That's because he was only given a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) until May 4.The 28-year-old was bought by KKR for Rs 50 lakh, for those who are unaware. Only in his IPL debut against Delhi Capitals (DC) was he able to represent the team, hitting four runs off just as many balls. After missing numerous KKR games owing to the Ireland tour of Bangladesh, he did that. His trip of Ireland for their forthcoming three-match ODI series seems likely. It's important to note that Shakib Al Hasan's services were previously lost by KKR. By mutual agreement, the Bangladesh all-rounder left the lucrative league after missing a lot of games owing to international obligations. Jason Roy from England was acquired by Kolkata as his replacement.Recently, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their most recent match against Royal Challengers Bangalore to get back on track. By defeating RCB by 21 runs, Nitish Rana and company snapped a four-match losing streak. They had already defeated RCB twice this year. Only one other club, the defending champion Gujarat Titans (GT), have managed to overcome them in IPL 2023.With three victories in seven contests, KKR are currently ranked seventh. To guarantee a place in the playoffs, they must win the majority of their seven games during the group stage. The two-time champions and GT will square off on April 29 at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
