Due to a family emergency, Virat Kohli returns home from South Africa
Virat Kohli had to fly back home to India from South Africa due to a family emergency. As a result, Kohli was forced to miss the three-day intra-squad practice match ahead of the opening Test against South Africa, which starts on December 26 in Centurion.
Virat Kohli is among the leading run-scorers in Tests among active cricketers and will be a key cog in the wheel as India eye a historic Test series win in South Africa.
While the reasons are yet unknown, as per a report, Virat Kohli returned to Mumbai three days ago after taking permission. The report also said Kohli will be back in time for the first test, which starts on Boxing Day. As a result, he missed out on the three-day intra-squad practice match.
