DC Captain Rishabh Pant to keep wickets for Delhi, Shai Hope makes his debut

Finally, it’s time to see Rishabh Pant in action. In the second IPL 2024 match between DC and PBKS, the Delhi skipper will be playing his first competitive match in 14 months after his horrific car crash. That’s not the only positive sign for DC, as Pant will also be keeping wickets for the side, dispelling all the questions surrounding his fitness for the tournament.
On the other hand, DC went in with a rather balanced-looking side where Aussies David Warner and Mitchell Marsh will open the batting for the side, followed by Shai Hope and Pant himself.
West Indies wicketkeeper batsman Shai Hope will also mark his debut in the tournament, providing stability to DC’s batting line-up. He has played 28 T20Is to date and struck 509 runs in those matches at a strike rate of 125.
But it goes without saying that Pant will be the one to watch out for. After all, he has a stellar record in the IPL. In the 98 encounters in the league, he has scored 2838 runs at an average of 34, including one ton and 15 fifties. What's even better is that he boasts a strike rate of over 147.
