CSK bowler Mustafizur Rahman is unavailable for the match against SRH

In a major setback for the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings, the current purple cap holder of the 2024 edition, Mustafizur Rahman, has traveled back home and is expected to miss the next match against his former team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, in Hyderabad on April 5.
It has been learned that Mustafizur has traveled to Bangladesh to complete visa-related formalities to ensure smooth travel to the USA for the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled for June.
The United States of America is co-hosting this year’s T20 World Cup with the West Indies. Mustafizur has traveled to Bangladesh to complete the biometrics process for his US visa. After providing the biometrics, there is a waiting period before the passport is returned.
During this time, the left-arm pacer will have to remain in the country, raising concerns that Mustafizur might miss more than just one game.
According to some sources, Mustafizur’s biometrics appointment is scheduled for April 4. Chennai Super Kings’ next match is against Mustafizur’s former team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, in Hyderabad on April 5. Consequently, he will be unavailable for this match.
Their next match is on April 8 against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a home fixture. If there are further delays in the US visa process, Mustafizur may also miss this match.
Mustafizur is eligible to compete in the IPL until April 30 before joining the national team for the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at home.
