CSK all-rounder Deepak Chahar suffered a hamstring injury against the Mumbai Indians

MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings have been handed a fresh injury as all-rounder Deepak Chahar suffered a hamstring injury against the Mumbai Indians and is going to miss 4 to 5 matches of the IPL season 2023. The fast bowler experienced this injury in the very first over of the game, and after the fifth ball, he called the physio and got some on-field treatment. Still struggling from his injury, Chahar left the ground after bowling the final ball of his over.
He is going to mess up the next few matches for CSK after his left hamstring injury seems to have resurfaced once again. He was out for the better part of IPL season 2022 because of the same injury, and it was frustrating to see him struggling after bowling only one over against the Mumbai Indians on Saturday.
The legend of the Chennai Super Kings, Suresh Raina, who was doing commentary for Jio Cinema, said, "It seems Deepak will be out for 4 to 5 games." It looks he has again sustained hamstring injury and look in discomfort.  All the other IPL venues are far from Chennai, and there will be a lot of travel involved.
