Cricketers, from Virender Sehwag to Sachin Tendulkar, pay heartfelt tribute on the 26/11 anniversary
On the 15th anniversary of the horrific 26/11 Mumbai Terror Attacks, many of the cricketers, including legendary Sachin Tendulkar, paid tribute to the people and security personnel who lost their lives in the attacks.
Tendulkar posted on X, “26/11 will be remembered as one of the darkest days in the history of Mumbai and India. The people who lost their lives and loved ones in the attack will always be in our prayers. I have tremendous love and respect for everyone who fought in the darkest times to control the situation. However much we thank them, it will never be enough.”
Apart from Master Blaster, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, and Aakash Chopra also paid tribute on the 26/11 anniversary.
VVS Laxman wrote on X, “Bow down in gratitude to these brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in protecting the motherland.” Whereas Aakash Chora wrote, “26/11. Mumbai. Heartfelt gratitude to the Mumbai Police and all the other agencies that work tirelessly to keep us safe. It’s because of your dedication and sense of duty that we sleep peacefully every night. Never forget. Never forgive.”
