Conway and Ravindra help New Zealand defeat England by 9 wickets

In the opening World Cup match here on Thursday, New Zealand overpowered reigning champions England by nine wickets thanks to unbroken hundreds from Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra.With the exception of Joe Root, England struggled horribly against New Zealand bowlers, making 282 for 9, and the Kiwis easily reached the goal in just 36.2 overs.Conway (152) and Ravindra (123) were the masterminds behind their incredible chase on a pitch that appeared much softer than it did for the England innings.
