CM of UP Yogi Adityanath Honours Star All-rounder Deepti Sharma With DSP Post in UP Police

All-rounder of Indian cricket team Deepti Sharma was honored with the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police by the Uttar Pradesh government. The 26-year-old cricket star has consistently delivered stellar performances for the national squad, winning games for the women’s team. This led to her being conferred with the special honor by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Deepti also received a cash prize of Rs 3 crore as the Uttar Pradesh government acknowledged her achievements on Saturday, January 27. She was handed an appointment letter by the UP Chief Minister and Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur, who expressed their best wishes for Deepti’s future endeavors.
As per the reports, Deepti expressed her gratitude for the honor during the ceremony and shared her aspirations for promoting the growth of women’s cricket in India. In the same ceremony, several other Agra-based athletes were also recognized for their contribution to sports. The event saw paralympic athletes JatinKushwaha and Yash Kumar receive Rs 5 lakhs each for their participation in the Para Asian Games.
