Chennai Super Kings has appointed Sridharan Sriram as the assistant bowling coach for IPL 2025

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has appointed Sridharan Sriram as their assistant bowling coach for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season. Sriram, a former India all-rounder, brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role. He previously served as Australia’s assistant coach from 2016 to 2022 and worked as a T20 consultant for Bangladesh ahead of the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup in 2022. Additionally, Sriram was part of the coaching staff at Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in recent years.

Sriram will join a seasoned coaching staff led by Stephen Fleming (head coach), Mike Hussey (batting coach), and Eric Simons (bowling consultant). His primary focus will be on CSK’s talented spin department, which includes Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal, and Noor Ahmad.

CSK is looking to bounce back from a disappointing IPL 2024 campaign, where they narrowly missed the playoffs. With Sriram on board, the team aims to strengthen their bowling unit and make a strong push for the title in IPL 2025, which begins on March 22.
