Captain Rohit Sharma's epic Statement before the new WTC Cycle

Captain Rohit Sharma was quite confident before India’s 2023–25 cycle of the World Test Championship. Rohit said that India will look to carry the confidence of the previous two WTC cycles into the current one. He made the comments before the opening test of Team India against the West Indies, which started on July 12 at Windsor Park in Dominica. India played in two finals of the WTC but lost to New Zealand and Australia.
During the toss, Rohit said that "The championship final is still a couple of years away. We've played some consistent cricket, which is why we've played two finals. This is something we can take forward. There are a lot of new guys in the squad, so hopefully we can get a good perspective from the last two cycles. This cycle will be no different."
Before the opening Test, India handed maiden Test caps to Ishan Kishan and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Kishan has already played limited-overs cricket for India, while Jaiswal has yet to don the national jersey. Captain Rohit said that he wanted both debutants to play freely without much pressure.
He further added, "I just want them to enjoy. They will have nerves, but it’s our responsibility to make sure they enjoy it. Those guys have the potential, and I hope we can give them all the comfort and happiness they need on the ground."
