The 24-year-old weightlifter started her clean & jerk effort with a successful lift of 109 kg, then on her second try, she aimed for 111 kg. Her third try at 115 kg was disqualified.
Nevertheless, Bindyarani Devi was able to win the silver medal in the clean & jerk part with a lift of 111 kg.
