Big boost for team India as Jasprit Bumrah could return to action in T20Is against Ireland

Seamer of team India Jasprit Bumrah, who has been missing from action since the T20 International against Australia last September, is likely to make his comeback to the team in the three-match T20 International series against Ireland in August. Bumrah is making good progress and could well be at peak fitness when he returns to the team. He underwent back surgery in March of this year and took the long road to rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy.
The series in Ireland will allow Bumrah some much-needed game time before the two important white ball tournaments. After the Ireland series, India is going to participate in the Asia Cup in September and then in the 50-over world cup at home, which is going to be held in the months of October and November.
As per the statement by a BCCI official, "Jasprit Bumrah is looking very good for the Ireland series in August this year; it will be a big boost to the Indian cricket team and will also allow Bumrah time in the middle after the long injury layoff. If everything stays on course, a bumrah at peak fitness is likely to take the field.
