Before WC, Sanju Samson gets a rare opportunity as the RR captain gets an ODI recall
Before the ODI World Cup 2023, Sanju Samson has a rare golden opportunity. The Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper is all set to make his comeback during India's Tour of the West Indies. The RR captain, who missed the series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand, has been picked for the ODI squad against the Men in Maroon.
Samson is prepared to receive ample opportunities in the absence of some of the team’s veteran players, despite frequently being in and out of the starting lineup. If Sanju Smason is able to seize this opportunity against WI, he could very well be in the Indian squad for the World Cup in 2023.
Samson last participated in a T20I match against Sri Lanka before suffering a hamstring injury. After that, the RR player participated in the IPL but had a poor performance, scoring only 360 runs in 13 innings. The wicketkeeper batter will be eager to play and use his opportunities against the West Indies.
