Before the open bus parade in Mumbai Team India is likely to meet PM Modi in a felicitation ceremony in Delhi

After an arduous 11-year wait and a string of unsatisfactory outcomes, India experienced ICC success at last. South Africa was defeated by Rohit Sharma and his team in the thrilling final of the T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.

The supporters of Team India were ecstatic to watch the historic event unfold live and are looking forward to seeing and greeting the players when they return home. There will undoubtedly be a trophy celebration with the home crowd, and there may even be a big open bus parade in Mumbai.

After winning the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007, when India's team returned to India, there was a huge celebration, including a bus parade. India defeated Pakistan, their bitter rivals, to win the Cup in South Africa. In a bus parade in Mumbai, MS Dhoni and the trophy were on display for the fans to see as a way to celebrate the accomplishment. When the team returns to India, a similar situation might occur once more.
