Before IND vs. PAK An ex-cricketer sparks controversy by saying, ‘Virat ke jute k barabar bhi nahi..’
The match between India and Pakistan cricket teams in of ICC 2024 T20 World Cup is just a few hours away, and statements have started coming from ex-Pakistani cricketers. While the poor performance of the Pakistan cricket team in the last few days has been the focal point after they lost to the USA, now it seems Danish Kaneria has stoked another controversy with regards to skipper Babar Azam.
The comparison between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam comes up instantly when one talks about the IND vs. PAK clashes. But Danish Kaneria, with a strong opinion, has ended that debate for now. The ex-spinner gave his conclusion after Babar Azam’s 40-odd runs vs. the USA in as many deliveries.
Kaneria said, “As soon as Babar Azam scores a hundred the next day, you’ll see comparisons with Virat Kohli. Virat k jute k barabar bhi nahi hai. The USA Bowlers had him stuck; he was unable to play the bowlers. As soon as he reached 40 odd runs, he got out. He should have stayed and won the game. Pakistan should have won the game one-sided.”
Not just that, Danish also said that Pakistan overrelies on their bowling, which leads to their downfall. “India will beat them badly. They are not capable of beating India. Whenever Pakistan comes to the World Cup, they keep praising their bowling and say that their bowling will win them the game, but that was the reason they lost the first game,” remarked Kaneria.
