BCCI seeks feedback from franchises and captains on the IPL 2023 impact rule to decide future

With the introduction of the impact player rules, things have been quite interesting. The effect of an all-rounder has been less. But in order to understand the impact of the rule, BCCI is seeking feedback from the franchise and also from the captains. Till now, they have gotten mixed reactions. On one side, Indian players and captains are quite impressed with this rule, but foreign coaches and captains are taking a wait-and-see approach to the new rule. Depending on the feedback, the BCCI is going to decide whether they should continue with this impact player rule or not.
A senior BCCI official told inside sport, "We have received a very good reaction so far on the impact player rule." It gives the team flexibility as well as a sense of anticipation. The opposing team does not know who will come on until the last minute and what sort of planning is to be done. But yes, we only have 6-7 matches. So everyone is waiting. Obviously, we do not impose and always welcome feedback. "We will take a call as per the feedback,"
Captain of the Delhi Capitals David Warner is not that impressed by this rule, as he said the impact player rule could be confusing. India T20 captain Hardik Pandya in the first game against CSK refused to even name his players, saying, "I don't know."
Davud Warner said, "It can be quite confusing and also stressful at times." But it is a welcome addition to the tournament. Either it is a batter more or a bowler more."
