BCCI President will attend the Asia Cup 2023 Opening Ceremony in Pakistan: PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf

Roger Binny, president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), is scheduled to cross the border to attend the Asia Cup opening ceremony, which starts on August 30. This has been confirmed by the head of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). PCB will continue to serve as the tournament's host, but the majority of the games are still expected to be played in Sri Lanka, making Pakistan the location of only a portion of this year's Asia Cup. Due to security concerns, the BCCI was reluctant to send its players to Pakistan for the event, leading to the establishment of this format. However, the Pakistan board's offer to welcome the BCCI president Roger Binny and vice president Rajiv Shukla in Multan on the first day of the competition has been accepted.Zaka Ashraf reportedly stated, "BCCI President and Vice President are coming to Pakistan for the opening ceremony of Asia Cup." "We invite everybody who is visiting Pakistan [during the Asia Cup]."On the occasion of the men's national ODI team's shirt launch, the Pakistan board chief made his remarks.
