Babar Azam praised the knock of Fakhar Zaman as Pakistan defeated Bangladesh

The Pakistan cricket team got a 7-wicket victory over Bangladesh at the Eden Gardens on Tuesday to knock the Bangladesh Tigers out of the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 in India.
Bangladesh, who won the toss and chose to bat first, were bundled up by the bowling unit of the Pakistan cricket team for 209 runs. Pakistan then managed to chase down the target in 32.3 overs as openers Abdullah Shafique and Fakhar Zaman both notched up half-centuries.
After winning the match, Pakistan Captain Babar Azam credited his team, as they displayed a good performance across all spheres of the game on the day.
Azam said, “All credit to the boys for the way we played in all three departments.”
He also congratulated Zaman on his brilliant 81-run knockoff of 74 deliveries, which earned the batsman the Man of the Match award.
He also said, “We know that if Fakhar bats for 20–30 overs, it’s a different ball game. It is good to see him play his natural game.”
