Azhar Mahmood Pakistan coach confirms legal action against false T20 World Cup allegations

The assistant coach of Pakistan cricket team Azhar Mahmood has taken a strong stance against the false acquisitions making round in the wake of the team’s disappointing T20 World Cup performance. These allegations, primarily spread on social media and other media platforms, have prompted Mahmood to pursue legal action.
At the heart of the controversy lies the accusation that the families of players and coaching staff enjoyed trips to the USA for the T20 World Cup at the expense of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Mahmood vehemently denies these claims, calling them “entirely baseless and false.” He expressed his deep frustration at the spread of such misinformation.
Mahmood condemns the growing trend of spreading falsehoods to gain social media traction and media attention. He emphasizes that “speaking without evidence and misconstruing facts is a criminal offense,” and those responsible will face legal repercussions.
Azhar Mahmood has declared his intention to seek legal counsel against those who have fabricated these allegations against him and his family. He intends to pursue “strict action” to deter such behavior in the future.
He has also urged the public to refrain from engaging with these “harmful narratives” and called for a collective effort to end this kind of irresponsible media conduct.
