At SRH Rishabh Pant fires warning, “No matter the score, we are gonna chase it down”

The IPL 2025 match between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) turned into a nail-biting encounter, ending in heartbreak for Rishabh Pant’s team as they lost in the last over. The absence of frontline pacer Avesh Khan was felt keenly, but he made a timely return for the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). In the previous game, DC managed to chase down 210 runs, largely thanks to impressive performances from Mitchell Marsh, who scored 72 off 36 balls, and Nicholas Pooran, who blasted 75 off just 30 deliveries.

At the toss for the SRH vs LSG match, Pant opted to bowl first on a pitch favorable for batting, expressing confidence in his team’s batting lineup. “We will bowl first… We have the batting to chase it down,” he stated. Notably, LSG’s highest successful chase remains 213 runs against RCB in IPL 2023, while SRH holds the record for the highest IPL score of 287 set in IPL 2024.

Avesh’s return is expected to strengthen LSG’s bowling attack, which struggled with death overs in their previous match. As both teams prepare for this crucial clash, all eyes will be on how LSG adapts to overcome their previous challenges.
