As Team India is aiming to avoid repeating the same mistake, Rohit faces the Ashwin vs Umesh dilemma

Captain Rohit Sharma and Head Coach Rahul Dravid have some difficult decisions to make in order to lead up to the India vs. Australia Clash. As the pitch of Oval Cricket Stadium is a mystery, Team India is still not sure about their combination for the World Test Championship final, as both Ravichandran Ashwin and Umesh Yadav are fighting for a spot in the squad.

Given the injury crisis, much of India’s lineup is well-settled and picks itself. Rohit Sharma has a red-hot Shubman Gill to partner at the top, while Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli form a formidable top 4.

Ajinkya Rahane returns to the Indian squad and will shore up the middle order alongside Ravindra Jadeja. With no left-handers in their playing XI, Jadeja could very well earn himself a promotion to No. 5, as he had smashed a century on his last visit to England at Edgbaston. The inclusion of Jadeja means that Axar Patel will warm the bench. Patel was in brilliant form during the Border Gavaskar Trophy, but his inclusion is a no-go in foreign conditions.
