As per the report, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya will join the team later as the second batch leaves for the T20 World Cup

Now, after the finals of IPL 2024, all the focus shifts to the T20 World Cup in the USA and the West Indies. The first batch of Indian players left a couple of days ago, including Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Rishabh Pant, while the second batch left on Monday morning. This group had the likes of Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, AveshKgan, and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
As per a report, the Indian team’s support staff also reached the USA in the first batch, including coach Rahul Dravid. But MI skipper Hardik Pandya is believed to reach New York from London, not with the team.
Not just Pandya, but even ex-skipper Virat Kohli will join the team late for the T20 World Cup. But he would be there in time, before the warm-up match between India and Bangladesh on June 1. In fact, Kohli is expected to leave by the end of May.
A source said, “He will reach New York before the warm-up against Bangladesh on June 1. Whether he plays or not in the warm-up will be management’s call—whether they feel there is enough gap between his landing and the warm-up fixture.”
