As per the report, Pant has yet to receive clearance from the NCA, so IPL 2024 for DC could be in jeopardy

Delhi Capitals star Rishabh Pant has reportedly not yet received clearance from the National Cricket Academy over his fitness. The keeper-batter is set to return in IPL 2024 after a year-long gap owing to a horrific car crash. IPL 2024 is all set to commence from March 22 onwards.
As per the report, Pant has yet to receive the fitness clearance from NCA. As per the report, the experts at NCA felt Pant isn’t match-fit yet. The team management claims they don’t have much knowledge on this matter, the report adds.
Further, Pant has not been included in the DC squad. The reason is not obtaining the clearance certificate from the NCA. The reports add that DC, however, can request BCCI’s inclusion of Pant as an extra player in the squad.
The Delhi Capitals made it clear that Pant will remain the captain of the team. Earlier, it was reported that Pant would feature as an impact player. There is no chance that he will keep wickets for the Delhi outfits. Ganguly too clarified that Pant won’t stand behind the wickets.
Pants continue to toil and sweat hard in the practice games. He is keen to pass his fitness test and join the squad for the pre-season campaign. The Delhi Capitals take on the Punjab Kings in their opening game of the campaign on March 23.
