As Aussie star smashes fastest fifty of IPL 2024 Travis Head blitzkrieg deja-vu for Rohit Sharma
Talk about leaving a mark in IPL, Travis Head has gone on to smash the Fastest Fifty of IPL 2024 in the SRH vs MI clash. The Australian southpaw took just 18 deliveries to reach his half century. Not only did he slam the fastest fifty in IPL 2024, he also became fastest batter for Sunrisers Hyderabad to achieve his record.
The Australian batter started to hammer Mumbai Indians from the very first delivery. He smashed 9 fours and 2 sixes to reach his half century in emphatic style. SRH has greatly benefited from this start as Head slammed his fifty within the powerplay of the game.
Earlier it was Andre Russell who slammed the fastest fifty in IPL 2024 in just 20 deliveries against the Orange Army. ShivamDube came close for CSK against GT when he reached his fifty in 22 balls. But Travis Head has been a class apart.
It is a deja-vu for Rohit Sharma. The whole world remained witness as Travis Head hammered India in the ODI World Cup Finals in Ahmedabad. It was the same man who blasted India and took the Men in Yellow to lift the shining trophy.
Here in the IPL, Travis Head too resumed his fiery form. Questions were raised after he didn’t feature in the first game. But now having got a chance, he showcased his prowess with the willow.
