Arshdeep and Avesh shine in India's eight-wicket victory over South Africa.

Shreyas Iyer and Sai Sudharsan each hit 50 runs to help India beat South Africa in the inaugural one-day international in Johannesburg on Sunday. Shreyas left for a quickfire 52 runs, while Sudharsan was batting on 55 when India won with 200 balls to spare.

Earlier, Arshdeep Singh took five Proteas wickets, while Avesh Khan took four, as South Africa were bowled out for 116 runs in the opening ODI at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Sunday. The best scorers for the hosts were Andile Phehlukwayo (33 runs off 49 balls) and Tony de Zorzi (28 off 22).South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first in the first One-Day International (ODI) against India's KL Rahul-led team in Johannesburg. Sai Sudarshan makes his ODI debut for India, while Nandre Burger makes his ODI debut for the home team, just a few days after earning his maiden T20I cap. Only Shreyas Iyer, skipper Kl Rahul, and Kuldeep Yadav are playing for India from the World Cup final playing XI.
