Anushka Sharma Calls Virat Kohli Her "Best Friend and Confidant," Reveals Early Marriage Challenges

Anushka Sharma recently opened up about her marriage to cricketer Virat Kohli, describing him as her "best friend and confidant" in a candid interview. "I’m married to someone I love so dearly just because of the human being that he is. When we’re together, the world ceases to exist," she said, highlighting their deep emotional bond.

The couple, who tied the knot in December 2017, faced significant challenges in their early married life due to hectic schedules. Anushka revealed they spent only 21-22 days together during the first six months of marriage, often juggling work commitments across cities and countries. "We were hardly together in Mumbai. The staff at home gets so happy whenever they see us together," she shared. Despite limited time, Anushka emphasized their mutual respect for each other’s careers, adding that neither asks the other to prioritize personal life over professional obligations.

Anushka also addressed public perceptions of Kohli, contrasting his on-field intensity with his off-field calmness: "He’s a shaant (peaceful) person in real life.” The couple, parents to daughter Vamika (born 2021) and son Akaay (2024), now splits time between Mumbai and London. Their journey, marked by resilience and unwavering support, continues to inspire fans, with Anushka reiterating, "I’m married to my best friend - the human being he is defines our relationship"
