An honest take from Sourav Ganguly on the T20 future of Virat and Rohit Sharma

Former captain of the Indian cricket team, Saurav Ganguly, has questioned the exclusion of star batsmen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli from the upcoming T20 squad against the West Indies. Both of them are appearing in the India ODI and Test squads but have been left out of the T20Is. They have not played a T20I since the World Cup semi-final defeat to England last year. Ganguly was of the opinion that both Rohit and Kohli could still contribute to the team in the shortest format.
Ganguly said in an interview that, "Pick your best players; it doesn't matter who they are. In my opinion, both Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma still have a place in T20I cricket, and I cannot see why Kohli or Rohit cannot play T20I cricket. Kohli was in great form in the IPL, and both have a place in T20 cricket, if you ask me."
Ganguly also talked about the exclusion of IPL stars Rinku Singh, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Jitesh Sharma, saying, "They just have to keep playing. They will have to keep performing whatever chances they get. It happens all the time. Only 15 can be picked for the squad, and only 11 can play. So somebody has to miss out. I am pretty sure their time will come."
