An ex-New Zealand star gave a late Twist in India’s Playing XI

Simon Doull, who is the former cricketer for New Zealand, is fulfilling his responsibility as a commentator in the T20 World Cup 2024. He gave an elate twist to the combination of team India, suggesting Yashasvi Jaiswal could be set to open with Rohit Sharma in the opening match of team India of the tournament against Ireland. Although it looks like Rohit and Virat would open for Team India in their first match of the campaign, Doull revealed a rumour that he heard about Jaiswal that changed everything.
In a chat, Doull said, “My team would have Virat and Rohit opening in the batting; they are the two best players to do that at this point in time, and Rishabh Pant for a point of difference at 3 as a left-hand option. SKY at 4, and then you have Dube, Hardik, and Jadeja at 5, 6, and 7. It just sits nicely for me, and the Indian line-up if they go down that road, I think it is the best way.”
He further said, “I have heard rumours today that Jaiswal was the first into the nets; they have given him plenty of opportunities that would surprise me if they brought him in. Who do they leave out? Shivam Dube? That would surprise me a touch.”
