Ahead of the T20 World Cup, to address Knee Niggle, Liam Livingstone returns to England

On Monday, the all-rounder of the Punjab Kings, Liam Livingstone, returned to England from the ongoing IPL to undergo knee recuperation ahead of the next month's T20 World Cup. The Kings are already eliminated from the ongoing season of the IPL after managing just four wins from 12 matches, and they are currently at the bottom of the table with eight points. On his official Instagram account, Livingstone wrote, "IPL done for another year; I had to get my knee sorted for the upcoming World Cup.”

He further added, "Thanks once again to the Punjab Kings fans for all their love and support. Disappointing season as a team and personally, but as always, I loved every minute of playing in the IPL.”

Now, for the last two matches of the PBKS tournament against Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad Livingstone, it is not going to be available.

Although the nature of the injury is not serious, the England management decided to give him more time to get it treated prior to their home T20I series against Pakistan, which is going to start on May 22.
