The Indian cricket team may have lost the 2nd ODI, but Washington Sundar is confident that they will tie the series 1-1 on July 7. The hosts had downed the Men in Blue in the second ODI, courtesy of Jeffrey Vandersay and skipper CharithAsalanka. However, with master tactician GautamGambhir by their side, Washington isn’t worried about the spin threat Sri Lanka poses.
In the pre-match press conference, Washington said about the Indian head coach that, “It’s just about finding the way individually and getting the job done. A lot of inputs from GautamGambhir about how to counter spin in these conditions. He was an excellent player against spin. A bit of change tactically.”
“I am always someone who works hard and tries to be an asset for the team. While bowling, when I am in rhythm, the ball comes out of the hand well,” Washington concluded.
