After ton in Pakistan clash, Virat Kohli moves up in ICC rankings, Babar Azam behind Shubman Gill

Virat Kohli’s impressive century against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has propelled him to the fifth spot in the ICC Men’s ODI batting rankings. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Kohli, who scored his 51st ODI century in Dubai. India now dominates the top five ODI rankings, with Shubman Gill holding the top position and Rohit Sharma at third.

Gill has extended his lead at the top to 47 rating points ahead of Babar Azam, who remains in second place despite recent struggles. Other notable movers include New Zealand’s Will Young, who jumped eight spots to 14th, and England’s Ben Duckett, who rose 27 places to 17th. RachinRavindra also advanced 18 positions to 24th after his century.

In the bowling rankings, Sri Lanka’s MaheeshTheekshana leads, followed by Rashid Khan. Kuldeep Yadav is the best-placed Indian bowler at third, while Mohammed Shami moved up to 14th after a strong performance against Bangladesh. This update highlights India’s strong presence in both batting and bowling, positioning them favorably in the ongoing Champions Trophy.
