Former wicketkeeper of Indian cricket team Dinesh Karthik pointed out that skipper Rohit Sharma was the only failure as the side stitched up a clinical victory in the 2nd IND vs. AFG T20I. Karthik made the remark while he was commentating during the game in Indore.
Kartik said in commentary that “the only failure has been the skipper. Two naughts in two games, but he wouldn’t be too worried about that. I'm back in this format after a long time. Back as captain. He was run out in the first game. I tried to hit a big one today and lost his stumps, but India has done well.”
Rohit got out on a duck in Indore as he played a rash shot. This was Rohit Sharma’s 12th duck in T20I format, making him the second batter with the most ducks in the 20-over format. He already tops the chart in the Indian cricket team, with KL Rahul behind him on the second spot with five ducks.
