After the Asia Cup Boycott Threat, PCB is in talks with South Africa, the West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Ireland for a tri-series

Things are looking very difficult for the Pakistan cricket board at this moment, as they are on the verge of losing their hosting rights for the Asia Cup 2023 to Sri Lanka. There are doubts that the Pakistan cricket team will most likely boycott the tournament. They are currently in talks with South Africa, the West Indies, Zimbabwe, and Ireland to host the tri-series tournament before the World Cup. They want to prepare for the mega event, which will be held later this year in India.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board proposed to the BCCI that for the Asia Cup 2023, team India matches will be held at a neutral venue, as the BCCI decided that team India will not travel to Pakistan for the tournament. But now Pakistan is eyeing revenge, as there are also doubts regarding their participation in the ODI World Cup in 2023.
