After shattering records, Josh Brown reflects on his'surreal','rewarding' ex experience
The opener of the Brisbane Heat, Josh Brown, spilled the beans on his surreal experience in the BBL 2023–24 game against the Adelaide Strikers. En route to his 140 runs from 57 balls, he also hit the highest number of sixes in an inning in the BBL.
Speaking about his record-shattering knock, Brown revealed that he was pretty tired and that messages hadn’t stopped coming in since that knock. He admitted that it was very rewarding and special for the team and himself, especially in the finals.
“It [messages] hasn’t stopped,” Brown told the media in Brisbane on Tuesday. “I haven’t really felt it [sink in] yet. I’m pretty tired. It was pretty special to do it in a final, both for the team and for myself.
“To do what I did in a pressure game was surreal.”
