After India clinches Champions Trophy 2025 title, Ravindra Jadeja wins ‘Fielder of the Match’ medal
RavindraJadeja was awarded the “Best Fielder of the Match” medal following India’s victory over New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final. Jadeja’s exceptional fielding skills, including his bullet throws and agility, were recognized by India’s fielding coach, T. Dilip. Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain, was also a contender for this award.
India secured their third Champions Trophy title with a four-wicket win over New Zealand, thanks to a well-rounded performance. Rohit Sharma was named Player of the Match for his 76-run knock, which included seven boundaries and three sixes. ShreyasIyer and KL Rahul also played crucial roles in the chase, while spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav restricted New Zealand to 251/7.
RachinRavindra of New Zealand claimed both the Golden Bat and the Player of the Tournament awards for his outstanding performances, scoring 263 runs at an average of 65.75. Matt Henry finished as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker with 10 wickets. Jadeja’s all-round contribution, including hitting the winning runs, capped off India’s unbeaten campaign in the tournament.
