Former cricketer of team India Irfan Pathan has slammed Mumbai Indians. The Hardik Pandya led sight barely put up a fight when they locked horns with Rajasthan Royals. The visitors lost by 9 wickets to register their fifth defeat in the campaign. Irfan Pathan has claimed that MI is being managed very poorly on the field.
Be it with the bat or with the ball, Mumbai Indians have been subpar in their performances. Rajasthan Royal’s Sandeep Sharma broke MI’s back with a splendid fifer. But the visitors however recovered with a 65-run knock from Tilak Varma and a well stitched 49 from NehalWadhera.
In the end, Mumbai Indians managed to pile up 179 runs on the board. But they were poor with the ball. Rajasthan Royals steamrolled their way past MI to register a 9 wicket win. Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten after slamming a fine ton.
Former India star all-rounder Irfan Pathan has claimed that “Mumbai Indians are a solid team but managed poorly on the field.” He went on to emphasize that MI are a very strong side but they are being managed poorly on the field.
Irfan went on to claim that Hardik Pandya‘s hitting ability is also going down which is also a big concern for the team. “Hardik Pandya’s hitting ability is going down. That’s a big worry on a larger picture. At the Wankhede he is different but on pitches where there is little help is what is worrisome for him.”
