After heroics against Ireland, GT spinner Rashid Khan re-enters the top 10 of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings

The spinner of the Afghanistan and Gujarat Titans, Rashid Khan, re-entered the top 10 of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings on Wednesday. Rashid, who was out of cricket after the ODI World Cup, came back into Afghanistan’s team for their T20I series against Ireland. He made an instant impact, taking the player-of-the-series award home in Afghanistan’s 2-1 win in the series.
Courtesy of the powerful performance, Rashid rose four places in the rankings updated by the ICC on Wednesday and currently sits in 9th place. The news will definitely come as a big boost for Shubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans, who will look to build on their good performance from the past two seasons. Rashid’s impact would surely delight the Gujarat Titans ahead of IPL 2024.
Rashid Khan suffered a back injury after the ODI World Cup and had to undergo surgery to permanently fix the problem. The ace spinner has been out of competitive cricket since, missing a lot of series for Afghanistan. His performance helped him re-enter the top 10 of the ICC Men’s T20I Bowler Rankings.
